The Garden City Summer Swim Team capped off an unforgettable 2026 season by reclaiming the Nassau Municipal Swim Conference Division 1 Championship. Nearly 150 swimmers contributed to the team's success, which included a perfect 5-0 dual-meet record and a championship victory with a final team score of 242 points, more than 30 points ahead of the second-place team.
Beyond the competition, the summer was also filled with opportunities to celebrate the special spirit and traditions of the GC swimming community. Swimmers, coaches, and families came together for the annual Chris Crafa Memorial Blue & White Meet, where swimmers honored Chris's legacy while competing in a series of fun races and a game of water polo, and again at the end-of-season celebration, where the team recognized an incredible summer, celebrated their accomplishments, and honored the friendships and memories made along the way.
While several swimmers earned special recognition through the team's end-of-season awards, the accomplishments of the 2026 season were truly a full-team effort. From personal-best times and important meet points to relays and daily improvement at practice, every swimmer played a part in an undefeated, championship summer.
