Meet the "A" Team Coaches
Andrew Salecker, Head Coach
Coach Andrew has led the Garden City "A" Swim Team for 10 years. A former member of the GC Pool's summer program, he swam competitively on a number of teams since he was six years old. During the school year, Andrew is a coach for Chaminade High School's freshman and varsity swimming and diving teams. He also conducts swim lessons for Island Swim Academy and Garden City Recreation, and has been a lifeguard at the GC Pool for over a decade. Andrew works with the senior members of the team.
Anne Sullivan, Assistant Coach
Coach Anne has been coaching competitive swimming for over 40 years. A contender at the 1972 Olympic Trials in the 200-meter backstroke and an member of the Dr. James Tolle Nassau County High School Athletics Hall of Fame, Anne has served as the head coach of the GC High School girls and boys swimming and diving teams for over 25 years. She has lifeguarded at the GC Pool since she was in high school and coached the summer swim teams for many of those years. We are thrilled to have her rejoining our coaching staff for the 2021 season!

Meet the "B" Team Coaches
Caity Bianchi, Head Coach
Coach Caity joined the "B" Team coaching staff in 2019. She swam on the GC Summer Swimming for ten years and GC High School Girls Swimming and Diving for six years. She was a county qualifier in the 100 freestyle and was co-captain her senior year. In addition, Caity swam for Long Island Express Swimming, the Echo Park Pirates, and St. Anne's CYO Swimming. Along with swimming, Caity is a lifeguard and swim instructor at the GC Pool during the summer and at Adelphi University in the winter. Caity is a rising senior at Manhattanville College, where she is a member of the women's lacrosse team. Caity will be working with the junior members of the team.
Nick Krawiec, Assistant Coach
Audra Fitzgerald, Assistant Coach
Coach Audra swam competitively for the Garden City Pool's summer swim team for eight years. While working as a lifeguard at the pool, she has been teaching swimming lessons to kids of varying skill ranges, focusing on proper technique and good swim habits. During the winter, she also teaches swim lessons at Adelphi. Away from the pool, Audra is a rising sophomore at Colgate University, where she walked on to the women’s rowing team.
