Meet the 2025 Garden City Swim Team Coaching Staff!

​

Andrew Salecker, Head Coach

9-12 Age Group Coach

​

Andrew has led the Garden City Summer Swim Team for the past 13 years. A former member of the GC Pool's summer team himself, he swam competitively on several teams since he was six years old. Andrew teaches at Chaminade High School, where he also serves as a coach for the school's Varsity Swimming & Diving Team. A lifeguard at the GC Pool for over 15 years, he has conducted swim lessons for Garden City Recreation and Island Swim Academy throughout that time.

Kathleen O'Malley, Assistant Coach

6-8 Age Group Coach

​

This is Kathleen's first summer coaching the Garden City Summer Swim Team. Kathleen swam on the summer team for many years along with her siblings. She has been a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Garden City Pool for over 15 years. During the school year, Kathleen teaches eighth grade math in New York City.

Griffin Noumair, Assistant Coach

13-16 Age Group Coach

​

This summer marks Griffin's first year coaching the Garden City Summer Swim Team. For many years, Griffin swam competitively for both the GC Pool's summer swim program and the Kellenberg Memorial High School Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving Team. In addition to coaching, he lifeguards and conducts swim lessons at the GC Pool. He just completed his first year at Boston College.

Gracie Krawiec, Assistant Coach

9-12 Age Group Asst. Coach

This is Gracie's second season coaching the Garden City Summer Swim Team. She competed on the summer team herself for ten years. Recently, Gracie has lifeguarded and conducted swim lessons at the Garden City Pool. ​She is also a swim instructor at Healthtrax Gym. Gracie will begin her first year at the University of Georgia in the fall.​

Jack Ahearn, Assistant Coach

6-8 Age Group Asst. Coach

​

Jack is a first-time coach for the Garden City Summer Swim Team. He swam on the summer team and is currently a member of the Garden City High School Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving Team. Jack is a lifeguard at the Garden City Pool and a rising senior at Garden City High School.
